At first I thought Selraybob's theory was a joke, a way to make fun of theoretical physics or other books about time. But this book is more of a story about a man 10 years out of high school that can't seem to shake that period from his life. It's a memoir. Whether it's labeled that way or not, that's what it is. Basically, it's a novel about a beer drinking, down and out guy who gets enthralled with the concept of time. Once I got over the idea that this was a 'science' book written by a football player, I was able to let go and enjoy.If you want a nice, light story that will make you think about some basic scientific beliefs in a different way, without putting you through mental gymnastics, this is for you. His obsession leads to action and self-discovery, including a trip to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to see the atomic clock, a place I think many people wonder what it is all about. If you want a serious theoretical physics book that goes into the mathematical derivations of various theories, keep looking. (There's actually a short bibliography in the back of the book that can give you ideas.) If you want an easy and fun read that makes you think about what motivates you, then I'd recommend Selraybob.

The author takes you on a journey looking for the meaning of time with wit and humor. You quickly become friends with the characters who he has developed so well. Cleverly written and very funny read. Loved it! Now I want the sequel.
